Meet  William John Jr.

This native Ohioan was raised on a small farm near Wapakoneta, Ohio.  William grew up exploring nature by studying the natural world around him. Since a tender age, he enjoyed expressing his pleasure of the outdoors on paper and canvas. he also grew up with horses which he also uses in subject matter quite a lot.  William has captured nature's beauty, which includes compositions of portraits, beloved pets, homesteads, and memorials.

William's portraits have an uncanny likeness of the personality of which he paints. William works with a lot of subject matter, usually wildlife, horses, portraits and westerns. He works in several mediums but mostly acrylics.

In 1983 Williiam earned his Bachelor's degree in Illustration from Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. William puts his focus on his subjects on the eyes and anatomical accuracy. Over the years William has won several awards for his artwork in several types of mediums.

Mr. John is very active in supporting conservation causes, like Ducks Unlimited, The Safari Club, and Rocky Mountain Elk in his area and through out parts of Ohio.
